If you use this trail for mountain bike use, you are trespassing illegally. If you are building trails in this area, you are doing so illegally.
The Lake Hills property, comprising over 330 acres on the hills south of the 91 freeway at La Sierra Ave., is privately owned. The property is managed by Riverside Land Conservancy for wildlife habitat, namely for raptors and Stephens’ Kangaroo Rat (an endangered species). Mountain bike use is prohibited and impairs the value of the land for wildlife habitat, especially for soil dwelling animals like the Stephens’ Kangaroo Rat. Please cease building trails in this area and using this area for mountain biking immediately.
The Chino Hills State Park and Sycamore Canyon Wilderness Park are two nearby areas with approved mountain bike trails.
Riverside Land Conservancy is a private, non-profit land conservation organization. For more information, visit www.riversidelandconservancy.org.
