that was awesome! i only noticed one thing, that as the video went on, the camera work got worse. like, at the begining, i was like, o man, here comes some great angles, but i didnt see any later in. but the nice thing is, i didnt realize it until the third time i watched it, the riding was so sick, it kept me drawn in. the 3rd time, i was kinda looking for flaws, not as much in awe from some of the sick lines...

I fail to see how mountain biking is to evolve as a sport when videos like these are out. All of these places and tricks have been done on bmxs years ago. All you people are doing is putting 24 inch wheels on a tiny mountain bike and taking it to a skate park and saying your part of an evolving sport, when your acctually just following the trends of a long existing one. Although these guys are pretty good at it...
^ have you tried to ride a 24 or 26? theyre bigger, harder to throw around. ya, so what, bmx's have been here, done that and moved on. its progressing alright. a few years ago in a dj comp, you threw down a backflip and the comp was yours, now you gotta do 3's tailwhips, superman's, even double flips and stuff. same with street. years ago, a 540 cab was unheard of, now guys are throwing them down like theyre nothing. yes, bmx's are ahead of us guys on the 24's or 26's, but its progressing very fast. you dont really realize it, but you arent following it nearly as much as bmx.

man Ive been riding mtbs for 3 years and I switched to bmx this year. I don't see a point in riding a bike that is "bigger and harder to throw around." I know that mountain biking is progressing, I'm just saying its going the wrong way. Mountain biking shouldn't be following the footsteps of bmx it should be taking its own path and videos like these aren't helping it at all.
Also, don't tell me that I haven't been following mountain biking as much as bmx because I own every New World Disorder movie, Kranked movie, and Collective. I can't think of any other series that following the progression of the sport better than these.

All Im saying is that your making it harder for yourself by riding a MOUNTAIN bike at a skate park. It just doesn't make sence and your just following a pre-exsisting sport with bigger wheels on your bikes and saying your starting something new. and as thomas vanderham says it in seasons "keep the mountain bikes to the mountain."

And i dont see in what point we said this was mountain biking... We don't even ride mountain bikes, we ride mtbmx's. Ant it's our business if it's harder we just like the feeling of big wheels better. If you like ride your bike in the forest or on the mountain, then do it, but stop bitching about people that like to do something else.

iv rode both 26" and bmx bikes for like urban and park stuff. and i must say they do feel very dirfferent 26 is more heavy but i feel more secure rolling around and stuff cause the wheel size now when it came to spins yeah that was hard. but then you just get used to it. and with bmx it has its ups its a small bike so can fling it better and it is lighter and easyer to spin and stuff. like both have there ups and there down. so who cares.......as long as we keep biking a growing sport.

Bighit, i don't understand your point. You say that mixing mtb and bmx is f*cking supid, but the pictures you posted are pics of TRICKS on a JUMP. Now what is the difference between doing a trick on dirt, concrete or wood? There is none except the stuff on which you ride your bike. What you are doing by riding your big bike on dirt jumps is exactly mixing bmx and mtb, because dirt is the essence of bmx. Stop whining about something you show the perfect example of. And if you still don't understand, then stop posting stupid comments and think bout it again.

I understand what your saying but its just an opinion that they should be riding a BMX. If thats his look on things let it be, its just his opinion. There is no need to go ape shit...and here (in Edmonton) there is alot of hate between BMXers and MTBers. I ride both so I can see both angles. Its just I went from riding MTB to BMX and it made biking alot in funner...but thats my opinion. I love MTB, I ride DH. But I wouldnt try and ride DH on a BMX or 4X on a trials bike so why ride street on a mtb, its just pointless.

But one thing you dont mention is that street mtb has been existing for a BIG 8 years max now, but bmx riding exists since like the 70's. I think street mtb hs been progressing a lot in a short period. I must admit, that bmx riders aren't as good as bmx riders, but it doesnt make mtbmx pointless and no ''right'' bikes exist, only ''bikes''.
BMX is very tech, and should be with how much easier it is to whip them around, try flatland tailwhipping a mtb a fair bit harder, however mtb street just has this style about it that only a few people truly have, not saying blasting around on a hardtail cant always be styley, but these guys definetaley have that certain style down. Oh and that was Adam Hauck who did the 540cabbie out of the walltap, he rides for BLKMRKT tho doesnt he???

ok, to be honest, BMX is good for beginers, it is a good way to start dirt jumping, park etc. Then after that you progress to a mountain bike. The reason why BMX is good for beginers is because it is simply easier. With mountain biking, its alot harder to throw down tricks. If any BMXer gets offended by this, well ... its the truth. I would like to see you throw a tail whip on a mtb, and you will probably admit it is alot harder. So give some respect to the riders instead of "omg get a bmx"
i will not disagree with you. Undoubtedly mtbs are harder to do tricks on. I was just saying you can definitely do more tricks on a bmx and that the variety of trick landed on bmx's is simply unbelieveable, bmx, i feel, is just progressing soo fast and mtbs are having trouble keeping up. Where is the progression of tricks on mtbs, i have been watching basically the same tricks for the past two years, where as it seems there is something new being done on a daily basis on bmx. As much as i want to believe anything done on a bmx can be done on mtb, i don't think it is true, there is a point where the physics doesn't allow it. Either way, mtb or bmx, it is a progression of the same sport and i support it 100%.
