wow, i really wish that was where i lived. I live in a place called Kansas. basically 95% of the riders here ride cross country (no exaggeration) and so no stores supply anything and finding fellow riders and events is extremely hard. My own friends find mountain biking dumb. They think of it as spandex wearing, high seat riding uphills, but they have no idea what I really do (freeride and dh). I'm just looking for a crew to ride with, the only kid that does ride something near my style is a kid who rarely can ride and I barely talk with. I wish i lived in that area because i'd be riding with u guys every day.
