That's the funniest thing I have ever seen. Make it VOD just for hilarity. The drop onto the head gets funnier every time i watch it.

Actually, bmx did lead to every point of mtb where it is today. You fail to realize half the tricks done on urban and dj mtb was started by bmx. The whole urban aspect was started by bmx. The only ONLY part of mtb not derived from bmx is hucking and dh racing (outside of xc and road of course).
Do a little history re search. BMX lead the path for all of it. 4x, dual slalom, dirt jumping, street / urban, and freeride.

btw nickkk the only diff is the multiple gears, suspension, and 26 in wheels. Other than that every other aspect is derived from bmx. Nothing to do with mtb moving on. no one on this site can say it wasn't derived from bmx as it blaitentley is. Any common knowledge in our sport would tell you that.
gawd for a third comment... how are the syles diff? Last I saw slopestyle, and dirt had the same tricks as what bmxers have been doing for decades, 4x and slalom is directly derived from bmx racing, and urban is directly derived from street. I'll back mtb any day, but you gotta give bmx the credit for starting things and getting bikes actually mainstream freeride popular to begin with. Its 40 years old now. mtb freeride isn't even 20 years old.

landing on the homeless guy was 100% the riders fault. as for the camera, that is totally the camera guys fault. a rider shouldn't have to think about where a camera is when doing something. its up to the photographer to decide where the best place to stand is. in this case he got a bit too close.
