wow
My mongoose Khyber has this design and 6.5" of travel. NEVER bottomed out. It feels like it could compress for ever.
you must not ride that hard then, my giant faith 2 has 9" of travel and i bottom it out everytime i ride. (it doesnt have that much stock, i know, i have a bigger shock...2008 roco)
Well thats a Maestro system. I was specifically talking about the Freedrive with a progressive air shock.
ok first of all jimbo, your faith has 7'' of travel. and even if you did have a longer shock it wouldnt work. yes i have tried. second he doesnt have his spring on his shock hes showing the stroke of his bike.
if you looked i replied to fr112358's comment, about how he says it never bottoms out. also to the others that think the faith has 7, it has 8 look it up, and if you look at the ratio from shock stroke to travel, a slightly longer stroke shock (which i have) will make a large difference in travel, about 3/4 of an inch or more.
It's very simple. My personal experience with a Mongoose Freedrive system and a Roco Air shock is that it is very progressive. When set up correctly, this suspension design does not bottom often. It is not a perfectly linear rate.
single coms with 135 mm rear axle, but i have triple with 150 mm axle
so it is more hardly + i change all my axles in in pillow to a custom made titanium!
so i like it!

I have a kyber and its awesome.. the BD Triple is even better. Romaniuk rides it... I've never seen any mechanical Failure on his videos. I broke the Marz 55 off a 15ft drop but the rear held up fine. Upgraded to a totem and now I got a sicko bike.
Had a tripple and loved how it felt
Awesome design.
I think the way its build eliminated chain growth??? But dont hold me to that
