 yep, if ya had a shittay crankset....

 well if you got a 22mm crank axle like me you wont bend it at all,you will just for sure scrap a set of pedals,bearing and pedal axle. but i have never bent the crank axle and i have bin doing that for a very long time since i was 10 and i'm 34 now. so i think i can speak to whether the Axel will bend or not if you do it on a tapered bb then ya, but the new cranks these days are big enough to hold with out bending.and you don't slam the bike to the ground that will stop you dead in your tracks and will of coarse bend it.the trick to this trick is to lower the bike down on the pedal end, so it can just roll on the end along the groung.so it takes balance and flow to pull off to just roll along to a stop.if you drop the bike down hard on the pedal you will loose momentum and just stop sudden.you lower down slow as you can.also the pedal must be sort of rounder at end like cheap Wellgos or DMR V8's or DMR V12's something exactly like them .square platform pedals don't work at all and just dig in to a stop.and the smoother the concrete ground the better like in a multi level car parking garage. hope this helps you try it out at least once.to see thats its not that easy
