Yea they should have a leash, but that might interfere when your riding. They seem pretty durable, maybe throw a beefier fork on it.

Well at any of the hills that allow these thing, It is manditory that you wear the leaches but that's the thing that sucks about the SMX's so far. Very minimal hills allow them do to saftey issues but then again there was once a time when snowboards were only allowed at certain hills and look at how far along that has come so hopefully SMX's will be allowed at most ski hills in the near furture

cannondale he means the skiis on the bike, you carve sideways on the snowbike back and forth, like you would on skiis or a snowboard.
They do make snow bikes with brakes, a metal piece pushes into the snow at the back ski when you pull the brake lever. I've seen it on 2 skii bike versions

u prob wont be able to go to most places unless they deem u can ride it and stop and it would be mandatory to have a leash... i would show the vid to ur local club and see what they say, personally i could make one for about 750-1000 but the big thing is being able to stop trying to figure that on out... cause thats gonna take a whole lot more room to stop than a snow board....ima put one together next winter ill tell you guys how it turns out....
first one too see and comment
