http://www.pinkbike.com/video/74049/#cid400158 tbf im not saying this video is bad but this deserves to be VOD
Dunno if i'm stating the obvious but all these yeti vids that keep getting Vod are all podcasts. You can get them free on itunes! How sweet is that!
i put off going poop and i REALLY had to go just to watch the rest of this video. defs worth it!! great VOD!!!
Does anyone know why aaron gwin's stantions are gold compared to all the other 40's? Sweet vid, looks like a cool track.
they're Ti-nitride coated I believe - its a mega expensive treatment process that gives an extremely low friction and hard wearing surface, better than conventional hard anodizing - it's currently for pro's only though as its too expensive for retail models
Gotcha, yeah it does look like ti-nitride, I think you're right. That's used a lot on r/c parts so it's not the most expensive process ever, however there's no need to make a $1600 fork even more expensive hahaha.
I think its made more expensive by the fact stanchion tubes are so big compared to r/c parts, they probably require longer anodizing time and a larger tank e.t.c. - all puts the price up more so. A little unessential considering Fox use hydrodynamic bushings in the first place...
Oh yeah I'm sure it's far more expensive than any r/c stuff. Also probably totally unessential, but those pros need special parts to make them feel... well... special!

for me a pretty average vid. I mean where is the focus? do I want to see the rider and the bike or what his wheels are actually hitting? For me the latter but too much in this vid was jsut some guy going downhill in slo-mo out of context because the bottom of his wheels were out of shot.

I just thought if you have scrolled this far down the page you might enjoy having some shizzle to read

2 yeti world cup riders and 2 different versions of the 303, why dont they just stick to one of them?
