I found a picture of this crash just as his front rim folds in half. The front disc is about to have the same fate but it has been captured just in time so that the bike appears to be resting on the disc. What a picture doesn't tell you is what leads up to this crash or the speed at which he crashes. WOW!!! Spectacular

Higher up his front wheel gets into a rut in the rock sending his weight forward as he goes off the drop. Unfortunately he then lands front wheel first with all his weight over the fork into the lip of the wood bridge with the bars slightly turned. Wheel folds he goes.

Bad crash but that's DH.
