This is a little vid i put together to give me and harry some recognition as he is only 12 years old. Some shots were shot at 200 fps on a sony HDR-CX105E. Managed to film it all in one day - see what you think. Song by Venetian Snares.

i would have to agree this is not worthy of vod... the shots aren't that great as well as the editing
agreed, it looked like the kid was riding a truck or something, too big bike. But a great edit! *Wow, i just realised half way through that he is riding a hardtail!!

@freebord007... dont hate, for a couple kids out doing work, they put together a damn nice video. It doesnt have to be professionally ridden, filmed, edited, and produced to be VOD. In fact, in a lot of ways, this vid is more true to the sport than a lot of those type of VODs.

Bike was a bit big for the lil guy, but he's a shredder for sure!

to anyone saying his bike is too big for him: he's 12. did any of your parents ever buy you a bike that was only going to fit you for maybe 1 season of riding? Point being is that he is more than likely going to get taller then he is right now so it would make sense to buy a bike that will fit him for at least a few seasons.

lol well jumps bettter than i do any way he gonna be a sherrder if he keeps that up and about he bike when i was his age i had a bike that was a bit to big for me and now 6 yrs and a few feet taller later i still ride it every now and then and it doesnt feel to small besides buying him a decent bike bike is gonna encorage him to ride more hense for longer so u wont have to buy him another one later solved

Sure it is! This is exactly what a VOD should be! If you want to see high quality professional film/editing with all the big cookie cutter tricks, go buy a DvD from your bikeshop. This site needs more "average" riders profiled.

Harry ive seen you around, you noticed me at aston. I have to say mate your riding is impressive for your age, i thought you were alot older than that!!!
My advice to you is stay on the hardtail for as long as you possibly can. The hardtail will teach you how to handle a bike propperly making you a much smoother and ultimately faster rider. There are too many young lads that just move onto full sus bikes, and not particularly good ones at that, but rely on the bike to do the work. Remember your in control of the bike.

not worthy of vod I do trails like that with bigger hits and more techniqual sections and i dont get vod not tha the rider isnt good or the filming isnt good but put some tricks in there or somthin come on
Its cool that hes so young and hes on a hardtail but recording wise if your gonna do an up close shot of the back wheel make sure hes not on the brakes cuz it looks bad if hes just skipping over stuff and the wheel isnt moving
it only works when is braking cus it throws up stuff, dirt and rocks and makes it look alot better than the wheel just rolling over some ground....

a Pro DH rider in near future for sure. As a father, should it be wiser to encourage your son to wear full protective armor so that he would get used to it before a big event that he might be joining in the near future. At least less trip to hospital and more time on the trails to practice just in case accident happends. Or perhaps your son would go ballistic with full armors on???? "Release the hemp".

A lot of this video is undoubtedly sped up which is kind of low in my opinion. You guys didn't have to speed the footage up (and don't say you didn't) to show that he is a good rider, because he can obviously shred for his age. Is it worth VOD? I don't think. If you hadn't of sped the film up to make it look faster than it is in spots, then it would be worthy of VOD status.
give me points in the vid where you think its speeded up, i garentee there is no faster motion , i checked some parts there all 100% normal time.

yes! great video. Finally, a kid riding a proper bike for learning on, and tbh, ud could skool me on a race run! Stay on the Hardtail man, its the way to go. Its nice to see a freeride VOD where a young guy is riding a HT instead of a big triple clamp Dh bike.

For 12, I'm not saying he's bad but I'm 13 and hit things twice as big or bigger, I don't want to seem like a hater but a kid doing water bars and roots, not VOD worthy. The jumps at the end were the best part.
it was pretty sweet and the kid can rip for 12.. the only thing I wasnt stoked about was that he was locking up the rear wheel to much.. thats not the way to ride and will only lead to trail destruction..

It may be his style on the bike that is confusing u as he looks very static and still but this is how he rides and he rides at that speed nothing in this video is sped up i can assure u
