2012 Stanton Slackline 843

STANTON SLACKLINE

This is my barely used Stanton Slackline 843 (16.5"). I built this bike up to help me recover from a snapped achilles. I set it up for more trail/xc due to needing to build myself back up to strength. Its in excellent condition but has been used so their is the odd scuff. No dents etc and has not been raced, crashed or even used in anger...snapped achilles means I've had to go steady even if I don't want to. Its got a lot of helicopter tape protecting the frame so is in good condition.

As most of you may already know, the frame has had some fantastic reviews in the mags including a fantastic report in the DIRT 100 for 2012.

Stanton Bikes are a small UK company (based in Derby near me) specialising in Hand Built hard tail mountain bike frames. The reason for the sale is that I want to build up another one, hopefully a Ti version if I can. An awesome bike that is building itself a great reputation from a great team that not only provide fantastic support but also actually RIDE bikes.

In the pictures you will see the bike is currently fitted with my Green Hope Disc Brakes. These are not included in the sale and the bike will come fitted with Avid bb7 (need to check this as I don't currently have access to the bike I'm taking them off). However, if you want it with the HOPE's we may be able to strike a deal so just get in touch and I'll consider it. When I check the brakes I'll update to confirm is they are different. DESCRIPTION

The Slackline is a multipurpose Allmountain Hardcore hardtail frame with a strong 4X/Slalom influence to its design. It is designed to reward style while riding hard in all conditions. The tubing used to make the Slackline was chosen for its manipulative properties and excellent vibration damping.

Directional flex control is key in the Slackline's design as the frame utilises butting in specific places and carefully selected internal tubing diameters to offer a direct and controlled ride combined with mega strenth.

The snap, acceleration and berm hugging cornering comes from our low bottom bracket and short chain stays. Couple this with a tight, nimble geometry and slack angles; you have a versatile “bomb proof frame”.
