2011 Specialized Hardrock Large (5'9"-6'2")

I'm selling a heavily upgraded Specialized Hardrock (2009). It's been taken care of extremely well and is in very good shape.

The paramount upgrade is the Rockshox Tora 302 Fork. 32mm stanchions, rebound adjust, travel adjust from 85mm-130mm and remote lockout which means there's a control on the handlebars to stiffen or soften the fork while riding (for climbing and descending generally). It was (2011) give or take a $300 piece of hardware. It was well worth every penny!

I've also gone to a slightly lighter and more durable wheelset from specialized as I had some issues with the original one. ($250)

I've upgraded the pedals to kona "premo" pedals from the steel and plastic ones that came on it.

Trivial to some, but I went to ODI lockon grips because they're lightweight and very comfy.

As a side note, I have a personal preference towards V-brakes (and a relatively good tektro set is currently on the bike) but I will happily include the Hayes MX3 Mechanical disk brake that came with the bike (complete with a brake/shifter pod and cables). The fork has mounts and I have the mounting bracket for the calipers. I do not however have the rotor anymore, it warped on me and I pitched it some time ago but they're cheap anyway.

This would be an excellent commuter/ bombproof trail bike or entry level DJ rig (with the beefier fork) for anyone who is between 5'9" and 6'2"

Generally speaking I'm only interested in cash, however if someone has a roadbike/hybrid in the ballpark of a giant rapid 3, Specialized Allez sport or Giant Defy 3 I'd happily trade and throw in a couple hundred bucks depending on the bike and it's condition.

With regards to a trade, I'm looking for a new road bike in the ballpark of a Giant Defy or a Specialized Allez. I'd be willing to throw in a couple hundred bucks as well if anyone has something 54-56cm in good shape!
