This is a high-end custom-built downhill bike and an incredible value for the price if you're serious about getting down the mountain at high-speed. The Intense M9 is arguably one of the finest hand-made (and made in America if that's important to you) DH frames on the market.

No expense spared on this bike and it is very, very fast. To be honest, it's more bike than I need. I'm mostly a trail rider that shuttles on occasion and could make do with something less expensive. Here are the complete build specs:

Frame: 2011 Intense M9 FRO, size Large. I'm 6'2 and it fits well. Mostly destickered and wrapped in protective tape in vulnerable areas. Completely customizable geometry, including three dropout positions for wheelbase, flip-chips for travel adjustment (8.5, 9 or 9.5 inches of travel) and three adjustments for shock linearity. I recently installed the updated 2013 lower shock link that solves the clunking of the old link. New bearings also installed. Frame runs perfectly. Minor typical rock rash, but no dents, cracks or significant scrapes. I did notice paint cracking behind the head tube in a pattern that would suggest a fork bumper dent; see photo.

Shock: Manitou Revox 9.5x3 with RCS Ti spring, 450. Also have 450 and 500 steel springs.

Fork: Custom Rockshox Boxxer with CR1 Engineering damper (right damping leg is customized with CR1 damper, 40 clicks of rebound and 40 clicks of compression). See http://www.cr1engineering.com/ for details. Lowers have typical mild scratching. Stanchions are cherry. I like this fork much more than the Fox 40 I previously had.

Front wheel: Specialized-branded DT Swiss 20mm hub laced to a Stan's Flow EX wheel. Specialized Clutch DH casing 26x2.5 tire set up tubeless with tape and Stan's valve.

Rear wheel: Super-nice DT Swiss FR440 hub laced to Stan's Flow EX wheel. Specialized Clutch DH casing 26x2.5 tire set up tubeless with tape and Stan's valve. This is a brand-new wheel just built by Dave Thomas at Speeddream Wheels.

Seating: Thomson post, SDG Bel Air saddle, Hope clamp.

Brakes: Shimano Saint 810, 203/180 Hope two-piece rotors.

Cockpit: Azonic direct-mount 50mm stem, Deity D30 bars, ODI grips.

Headset: Cane Creek Angleset with -0.5 cup.

Drivetrain. New Shimano Zee 10-speed rear derailleur, Zee 10-speed shifter, new Shimano 105 DH cassette, XTR 10-speed chain, E13 DH cranks with E13 34-tooth drive ring, MRP Mini G2SL chainguide, Azonic 420 pedals.

PLEASE READ: This rig needs nothing. Throw it in the shuttle truck and shred. I don't need to sell, but interested in downgrading to a less high-dollar DH bike. Would consider a trade for a cheaper rig (Specialized Status, Kona Entourage, etc.) plus cash. Please, please don't waste your time or mine offering clapped-out junk in trade. I'm not interested. This is already one of the nicer bikes around, the only reason I would insider a trade is to put some cash in my pocket.

Would consider a frame-only swap, frame/fork, etc. May also consider a Canfield Yelli Screamy in partial trade.

Feel free to make a trade offer as outlined above and we'll discuss. Or will sell outright for $3,000. If you're familiar with the parts listed, you'll know this is an excellent deal. PM with questions or to set up a viewing time. Located in N. Scottsdale. Preference to AZ locals, but will ship on your dime. Thanks for reading. Some have said the photos show up small. If you need larger or more specific images, send me your email address.
