2009 Santa Cruz Nomad - Medium, Custom Build, Low Miles

I have a custom built Medium 2008.5 Santa Cruz Nomad with very low miles. I primarily ride a 29er on the local trails here now. You can tell from the pictures and when you see the bike how great of shape it's in.

This is the last model of the first generation Nomad, which was still made in the U.S. So, it has the plush 165mm rear as well as the full 1.5 head tube. It is definitely more plush than any of the later generation nomads and this bike excels in the downhills and yet you can easily ride it uphill as well. The frame was a replacement received in late 2009, which I did not start to build up until late 2010. I continued to upgrade the components of the bike through 2012.

I am asking $2,000 or best offer. Will consider offers for frame and fork as well. If frame and fork are sold, I will part out the rest of the bike.


Here are the components:

- Medium Santa Cruz Nomad Frame (Black).

- Manitou ISX-6 for 6.5" of travel. I also have another ISX-6 with 7.1" of travel which I will include. I bought this to match the front fork. I found this to be the best air shock for the 1st generation Nomad, just like MTBR indicated.

- Fox 36 Talas 180 FIT RC2 - No scratches on the fork and since it's the Talas it adjusts from 180mm to 140mm. 20mm through axle, Hi-Lo Compression Adjustment, as well as Rebound Adjustment.

- Shimano Saint Crankset & Bottom Bracket - Still looks new. 175mm arm. 38/22T. Gamut bash guard

- Shimano XT brakes - 203 Front Rotor, 180 Rear Rotor

- SRAM X0 Shifter & Rear Derailleur, Shimano XT Front Derailleur - Gore Rideon cables used.
