2012 Van Dessel Gin and Trombones frames with Thomson X4 stem with gold dress up faceplate.
This is another CX focused bike that's just as at home on gravel as it is on a CX course. There's gobs of tire clearance for mud, so running a 700 x 38c or 40c tire should be a piece of cake. Bike frame includes a Thomson seat post clamp as well as a Thomson X4 stem.
This frame is a complete virgin. I always meant to build it up but just kept putting it off. It's virtually identical in all specs to the current carbon fiber Full Tilt Boogie frame from Van Dessel, a stand out CX race machine. The S bend carbon fiber stays are stiff as F-K laterally for precision handling, yet compliant enough in the rough stuff to keep you comfortably seated for power pedaling. The 7005 series aluminum main triangle is stiff, too, but the Van Dessel branded carbon fork will smooth out the chatter of gravel, pavement, and CX courses.
Since I'm not racing CX or riding that much gravel, I'm looking for a good home for this machine.
Pay pal only and buyer pays shipping and insurance (about $50 extra).
