2004 SANTA CRUZ HECKLER (VERSION 5)

Legendary Santa Cruz Heckler 5 (2004)- on Consignment at Yorktown Cycles, Yorktown Heights, NY.

I bought this pre-owned bike last spring and spent most of my time upgrading the forks, bars, brake levers, calipers, pads, dropper post, and tires. This bike was re-built in a shop in Derby, CT so all the bearings and pivots are in good condition. I also had my LBS perform a 1x10 conversion with a new Shimano Deore shifter, NW chainring, SRAM chain, and e-Thirteen 42T cog. It bears some scuffs and scratches typical of a 13 year frame maintained in good condition. I list it as "excellent" due to the new parts added on. Currently running "Slime" tubes.

Ride it XC, dirt-jump, all-mountain, or bikepark, this classic beast can do it all! I have pasted the info and links from the Santa Cruz site for this model; the geometry chart will be of interest to you.

My LBS tech did not grease or apply Loc-tite to the chainring bolts so one of them seized and will not come off. The Torx head got stripped so I just greased the other 3 bolts. When it's time to remove the bashguard or ring either you or your shop can drill it out. Bike is currently at Yorktown Cycles on consignment.
