2015 Trek Fuel EX 8

For sale is my much beloved, surprisingly capable Fuel EX. Pretty much completely stock, installed a new chain and chainring in the spring. The suspension has newish bearings that were installed last winter. Fork and shock rebuilds were done every winter. The rear shock was taken apart earlier in the summer, but was in pristine condition so did not have to be rebuilt. The bike comes set up tubeless front and rear. The bike has not been ridden since the early spring (I got a new MTB to replace). The bike has been prepped for sale with deraileur and brake adjustments, so it is operating at peak efficiency. The BB was also greased up with qaulity waterproof grease at that time.

NOTE: the bike does come with a saddle. At the time these pictures were taken, the saddle was on my commuter bike. It's just the black and red Botrager SSR saddle the bike came with. You can sit on it. Nothing special.

The bike is a very fun steed to ride. It's flickable and handles quickly, and the 29er wheels give the bike stability when riding rowdier trails. I took it to the downhill trails at Kelso and it handled them pretty well. Mainly the bike has been ridden at the Hydrocut.

The bike comes with a Specialized Hardrock'r tire (2.0", rigid bead, best used as a rear tire, rolls fast) and 2 Specialized mud tires (2.0", tubeless), and a brand new Specialized Ground Control (rigid bead, 2.1"). If you'd like the tires swapped, I can do that at the point of sale.

The bike has 120mm of travel front and rear, Shimano Deore XT 2X10 drivetrain, a Fox 32 fork up front, a Fox/Trek DRCV shock in the rear, and a 203mm front brake rotor. Bontrager XR3 tires fitted at the moment. For a more complete component list, please follow this link:
