This is my 2009 SC Nomad. I am the original owner and have maintained and upgraded the bike myself.
It's got a Lyrik fork with a Boxer damper.
The mission control damper was leaking so I put a Boxxer damper in. Works awesome and I think its better than the misson control.
The rear shock is a DHX 5.0 air.
All the seals replaced last year at Milford bike.
It's an aluminum frame with carbon rear.
I changed the rear triangle out for a carbon fiber one.
The carbon rear triangle upgrades the rear axle to 142mm spacing and a 12mm through axle. It stiffens up the rear end over the aluminum rear with 135 spacing and QR axle.
I put an offset bushing in the shock to slack out the head angle by 1/2 a degree.
A 1/2 a degree may not sound like much but is stabilizes the bike at high speed without killing the climbing efficiency.
I have a second offset bushing if you would like to slack it out another 1/2 degree.
It's a 67 degree HA stock so this can bring it to 66.
It's got a Thompson dropper post that works perfect.
There is a scuff mark on the post but has never leaked or effected performance.
I put 780mm wide Boo bars on for the w-i-d-e ride.
I have the original bars too if you would like them.
I put Easton Haven wheels, running tubeless.
This lightens the bike and the rotational mass for quicker spin up.
I put Shimano SLX brakes on the bike after the stock AVIDs started acting up.
Drive train updated to 1x10 speed with a wide-narrow front chain ring.
It came stock as a 2x9 I removed the front derailleur but still have it if you want to bring it to a 2x10 drive train.
Chromag seat replaced the stock seat.
It's pushed forward a bit to give the over the bars feel instead of sitting back.
This can be adjusted to fit your style.
I have a second set of wheels, including tires, for a burlier build (included in the sale)
I have a Totem fork of you want to bring the travel to 180mm. (included in the sale)
This also slacks it out another 1 degree
Put the Totem on the front and it is a very capable park bike.
I have ridden this bike at Highland, Thunder, Killington and Mont Saint Anne. It can handle most anything, I wouldn't ride full DH trails on it but it's pretty amazing everywhere else.
It pedals well and descends great.
I have trail ridden this bike everywhere from Vietnam in Milford to Kingdom trails in VT.
I have a couple extra tires, one used and one barely used (included in the sale)
The reason for selling is that I bought a DH bike and this is more bike than I need for trail riding. I will be getting a lighter weight trail bike for when I am not at the parks.
There are a few scuff marks on the frame but no dents.
This bike is 100% functional and ready to ride.
I am open to reasonable offers and will talk about shipping costs. Please no low ball offers.
This bike is sweet and deserves to be ridden a lot more.
Buy it, Ride it, Love it.
This is the XO AM Lyrik version of the Nomad from 2009 and I think the upgrades I have done only make the bike better.
Here is a review, as if you don't know how awesome this bike is already.
