Also, I'll be including the original rear shock Rock Shox Monarch RT3. The fox shock I replaced it with is a much better shock for this bike. I'm not sure why SantaCruz does such a good job on the high end builds, but fails to offer a high end shock.

Anyway, I'm looking to change out to the new 2018 Hightower LT. But again because I'm not a fan of their builds, I'll be doing another custom build. This bike has been well maintained and serviced by my local Fanatik Bike shop mechanics. One thing I love about this bike is how playful you can make it. Out of the box with the default settings suggested by SantaCruz it felt like a monster truck, but not very lively. Upgrading the rear shock and inserting some volume spacers into the front fork made a big difference along with opening up the settings to make the bike feel more playful on the trail. Also carbon rims make all the difference on a 29er. However I don't think Enve has the market anymore although they still price out their wheel sets as though they do. I decided to go with a US based manufacturer NOX Composites, which I feel have an equal warranty program and a very high end product actually superior to Enve wheels. I've had to replace Enve wheels, but never NOX wheels. Anyway, the NOX wheels are laced up with bladed spokes and roll very well on the DT Swiss 240s hubs.
