CONDITION/HISTORY: It is in great to almost excellent condition except for damage to a water bottle mount rivet beneath the downtube (pictured). A rock must have kicked up, hit the water bottle screw and deformed the rivet (screw hole). I sent it Pivot to repair and they said it was completely fine, but could not be repaired. So, you cannot mount a water bottle underneath the downtube, only inside of the triangle. I would not advise mounting one there anyway as it is very low slung and prone to hitting things.

The only other issue is that the rear triangle was replaced under crash warranty. I wasn’t even riding when this happened. A rider in front of me crashed on a rocky feature forcing me to walk. I slipped and my bike came down with me striking the drive side seat stay and cracking it. I paid $300 to have it replaced under warranty through Pivot, so the entire rear triangle is new including the bearings.

Other than that, the bike is in terrific shape. NO major gouges or scratches. There are the expected and minor imperfections on the downtube from dirt/rock spray. I have put helicopter tape on potential wear points so it has and continues to be protected. I also installed the DW-Link protector.

It’s coming up on shock maintenance soon. It has around 90 hours on the fork and shock. Fox recommends service every 125 hours. I do this myself and it’s not difficult at all, but you could also send it in to Fox or have it done at your local bike shop. The tires, grips, and saddle are fairly new. The tires are newer and the grips are not worn. Wheels are straight, no dents or dings, and I’ve never broken a spoke.



REASON FOR SELLING: I just prefer riding my hardtail and my local terrain doesn’t warrant a Switchblade for my style of riding. I got my use out of it this last summer on a road trip to the Pacific Northwest, but other than that, I have more fun on my Kona Honzo. In order to enjoy this bike I have to drive to trails and I just don’t want to spend my time doing that. I enjoy riding from my front door and my trails are a lot more fun on my hardtail.

Registered with Pivot and I will facilitate any warranty issues

Upgraded dropper to 150mm travel and installed the awesome Wolftooth remote

PRICE: So I priced it to sell FAST, not because there is anything wrong with it. I don’t want a lot of hassle and I’m looking for a fast easy sell. Whoever gets this is getting an awesome deal. I paid $6,800 retail and I don’t even want to calculate how much the upgrades cost. Pivot just came out with an aluminium version and those start at $4000 with a lower part spec.
