This is an old-school triathlon bike by Miyata (made in Japan), likely from 1987.

Everything on the bike―from the frame and fork, down to the brake pads and tires―was in great shape when I bought it, but it did need a thorough cleaning and a tune-up. It also has new bar tape.

Note that the front wheel is smaller than the rear, which was standard for triathlon bikes at the time.

Specs:

- Miyata triple-butted chrome-molybdenum tubing (with internally routed rear brake cable)
- Miyata Cr-Mo fork
- Shimano SLR brake levers and callipers
- Shimano Light Action downtube shifters (SIS) and derailleurs
- Shimano FC-B126 double crankset (165mm) with Biopace chainrings (52t/42t)
- Shimano 6-speed freewheel
- Sansin 5345 sealed system hubs laced to Araya rims
- Miyata quill stem
- Kusuki Winpista handlebars
- Miyata belted dual hard tire on front rim, Specialized Touring II K-4 700x28c tire on rear rim
- MKS AR-8 pedals
- Avocet W20 Gelflex saddle
