2012 Rocky Mountain Element 70 MSL Full Carbon frame

For sale is a 2012 Rocky Mountain Element 70 MSL. It has 120mm travel, 26” wheeels (can accommodate 27.5 with some 2.1” tires) and is in excellent condition. Size Medium. Matte black finish. I had this built up to a 21.9 lb complete bike with xt pedals, 1 bottle cage and Garmin mount.

The 2012 is the last year that the rear triangle was full carbon as well. The 2013+ had full aluminum rear triangles.

A lot of 3M tape applied throughout the frame. Velcro applied to chain stay and high friction areas (eg brake hoses, etc). No cracks, no damage to the frame and no real scratches through the paint. A few surface scruffs here and there. And some heel rub on the left rear chain stay.

Comes with Fox RP23 shock. Regularly maintained with new seals and o-rings, wheels manufacturing aluminum B.B., Cane Creek 40 headset. Seat collar and 160mm post mount adaptor for the rear swing arm.

I’m only selling because I impulsively bought a new bike. This bike leaves me with a smile just as much as my new bike after each ride. It may be a few seconds slower than a high dollar 29er, but not any less fun. Perfect to build up a wicked super light 120 full suspension for the smaller riders out there.
