2008 Transition Bottlerocket L PBR Edition

Selling my beloved Transition Bottlerocket. This thing has gotten me through thick and thin the past 6 years but it’s time to finally let it go. Ideally, I wouldn’t sell this icon being that it’s very hard to find large Bottlerockets with this factory PBR paint scheme. Nonetheless, it makes more sense for me to sell it than keep it even though the plan was to not ever sell it. That being said, I’ve keep the bike running to the top of its abilities for myself and my style of riding which has included much more climbing than shuttleing in recent years.

In the past year I’ve put on new 35m bars and stem, lock on grips, replaced the seals on the Fox 36 Van R (famously supple fork), put a new firm green spring in the fork (still have the medium blue), new chain, brand new DHR 2 exo 3c (front is still in 60% of its life), new lighter seat post, new lighter flat pedals, cane creek dB in-line rear air shock, and probably change the pads every 4 months or so. All of this was my attempt to lighten the bike. It’s down to about 36lbs from 39lbs. With the climb switch on the Inline, the bike climbs just fine, especially considering the era it was created in.
