For sale:

2003 Mercedes Benz Vito 110cdi, Manual, 197k miles.

Fairly rare spec – factory built as a 7 seater. My partner and I have used it as a 5 seater (2 in the front, three in the back) with ample cargo space. 2x sliding rear windows, tail gate. The van has been my partner’s daily driver for the duration of ownership. We have decided to save for something a bit larger, so the vito is up for sale. We have used it for countless bike trips - big enough to camp in with the seats removed.

Good bits:
- Lots of new parts in our ownership. Pagid discs and pads all round, new drive shafts, windscreed, drivers side front wheel bearing, clear plastic fuel lines, glow plugs, new alternator, Bosch aero blade wipers etc.
- 2x full services in the last 10k, EGR clean.
- I have inspected the injectors thoroughly and performed a leak off test. There is no trace of black death – indeed the one injector I replaced came out by hand. If you are familiar with removing injectors... that is almost unheard of! All injectors are performing well under test.
- MOT till mid March 2019
- Just after the vans last MOT, the previous owner replaced front shocks, and had a lot of welding done. My mechanic (R&R autos, Chesterton) recently inspected the vehicles under body, and said that the van will not need any welding work for its MOT.
- Returns about 35mpg on a run, sits at 70mph very happily.

Bad bits:
- Dent in drivers side rear sliding door
- The bottom of the driver and passenger side front doors are pretty badly rotted and are going through. (pictured) I know someone with a set of excellent doors in red, and I can provide these for +£120 (not negotiable)
- SRS (airbag) light is on (requires resetting)
- EDC light comes on intermittently. Van is not down on power, does not smoke excessively and does not go into limp mode.
- Handbrake is not currently working. This is due to the driver’s side cable needing replacing and the inboard assembly putting back in. All parts for this (new cable, retaining fixings, inboard assembly) are included, I haven’t got around to fitting them.
- Rear wiper is stuck.

With a little work this will make an excellent little van. We’ve loved owning it, but with looking to buy something larger it is looking for a new home.
