Trek 7.2 ex with high end components

I realized if my boys were going to ride proper trails, they needed something that could perform. I didn’t have a $2000 budget so I modified this Trek 7.2 to be a light weight bike that could get my son to the top and back to the bottom of tiger and raging river on his own.

Kids bikes are normally heavy, improperly geared with poor suspension. This bike is not.

Parts are worth far more, but I hate to part the bike out because it worked so well for my son.

Bike is in excellent mechanical condition and needs nothing. It has its share of scrapes.

Size is 13” and works for kids just under 4’ to 4’ 10” or so. 6 to 11 years old

The bike can be run with 24” wheels as a full rigid with mountain bike tires or street tires.

Currently set up 26” front wheel and 24” wheel with Rockshox Sid front suspension fork.

Xtr brakes, rear derailleur and crankset.
Xt shifters
Lx front derailleur

3 x 8 drivetrain.

Xtr crankset is 165mm in length that works with smaller legs.

Chain and cassette recently replaced - shifts great.

Brake pads are new with xtr pads and stop on a dime.

Schwalbe rocket ron 24” tires and Maxxis minion 26” tire. All folding bead.

Comes with both 24” rigid fork and 26” Rockshox Sid fork that was recently serviced and works super well.

Trek 7.2 13” frame.

Finally, I would be happy to set the bike up for you in any configuration.

For $50 more, I will include a ks dropper 50mm .
