2017 Giant Anthem Advanced SX Carbon Fiber

This is a lightly used (9.5 out of 10, I’d say), ridden by my wife, Giant Anthem SX trail bike. The standard Anthem is billed as a very efficient lightweight dual suspension XC. However the Advanced SX version gets a longer and beefier front fork, a higher quality reservoir rear shock, and upgraded 4 piston SRAM Guide Brakes and is meant for solid trail riding. They only built this high end model for 1 year btw, they de-contented it the following year to reduce the price. The suspension at both ends is RockShox (far superior to anything Fox builds btw). It’s a Pike 35mm up front with 130mm travel. In the rear it’s a RT3 Trunnion mount 110mm rear travel. The bike has all the modern standards including boost wheelset.
The bike includes a SRAM 1 x 11 transmission & a 100mm dropper post. The bike weighs right at 27#s as pictured and does not include pedals.
This Anthem SX is stock but with a couple of significant upgrades: 1) the heavy and too long (for a size small) stock cranks have been replaced with a set of 170mm carbon fiber X01 SRAM cranks. 2) the narrow stock wheels have been replaced by more modern DT Swiss XM150 wheels and DT Swiss hubs. They have a 30mm Internal width which is a huge upgrade and pretty much standard on all 2019 bikes. 3) The stem has been replaced with a 50mm Raceface Atlas stem.
IMO, the correct sized person for this bike would be from 4’11” to 5’6” with just small adjustments in stem length and seat position. The bike is currently set up for my 5’3.5” 118# wife. On the Giant website they recommend up to 5’7” riders on the size Small.
The suspension has been dialed in for my wife using ShockWiz.

Cliff Notes: It’s a bad ass, very efficient and lightweight trail bike but they didn’t like the stock narrow wheels (which I’ve changed out).
