2016 FOX 40 27.5 boost - ALP CRUNCHER....

Travel now opened to Swiss Alps! Thank goodness we can start planning some proper DH.....

Immaculate FOX 40 110 boost. 27.5. Coil version, which is a real asset versus air. Far more consistent and small bump sensitive. They have the two atmospheric balance valves. Blue spring - medium.
Chris Porter (Geometron and Mojo suspension guru) argues that the non-Kashima stanchions are superior to Kashima since they retain oil far better - which is exactly what we have found. It's also true that the seals in the coil versions are less restrictive since they do not need to hold pressured air, and that's also true of these forks. Once dialled in, they don't have the problems of an air fork in the Alps - heating during really long runs, and changes due to 1km height differences.

These are second forks so very little used. So little in fact that I don’t want them staring at me in the workshop any more, asking why they aren’t going downhill. If they stay in the workshop I am gong to have to build another DH rig for them to go into, and I am just building a Sentinel at the moment and don't want to get distracted.

I've looked at the prices for equivalent forks and there are a few of these around now, but important to note that these are very low mileage and ready to roll. 500gbp since we want these to go to a good home, and the workshop is beginning to get just a bit too full of forks, frames and wheel sets....
