2018 Rocky Mountian Instinct C70 + Assorted hardware

I'm selling my 2018 Rocky Mountian Instinct C70 frame. This is was from the C70 edition meaning that the entire frame is carbon (including the rear triangle) which saves a significant amount of weight when compared to the lower teir frames. The frame will be sold with the headset, BB, and stock fox dps performance elite. I can also include my CC DB Air IL (with remote lockout) if desired.

The instinct is one of the most versitile frames ever produced. It can fit 29 or 27.5+, fox live valve, be run at 140mm or 155mm of travel, support forks from 140mm to 170mm, angleset headsets, coil or air shocks, and the geometry can be finely tuned thanks to the ride 9 chip. My favourite setup is 140mm in the back and 160mm up front with the ride 9 in the slackest position. This keeps the amazing pedalling characteristics of the instinct but adds a lot more downhill capability.

This frame will not be for everyone. It has been ridden frequently and very hard. Functionally it is in excellent shape with all new pivot bearings as a result of a front triangle warranty replacement in 2019. Headset still spins smooth, and BB is creak free. I also have some random bits of extra hardware I'll include (pivot bolts, ride 9 chip, ect)

I'm not going to lie, cosmetically, this frame is a bit of a mess. 95% of this is on the rear triangle. The rear triangle has extensive heel rub on both the chain and seatstays, large paint chip on the drive side seaststay, some paintchips around the chainstay protector, and a worn spot on the inside of the chainstay from tire rub (knocked a wheel really out of true and had to get home). There are also a small rock chip on the toptube and back of the seat tube. None of the chips or worn spots have comprimised the structural integrity of the frame. If you would like more detailed pictures of any specific area of the frame I'm happy to comply. I'm not trying to con anyone into thinking this is a like new frame.

If you wanted to you can go through your local rocky dealer and get a crash replacement rear triangle. For a full carbon rear end it is around $700, aluminum is considerably cheaper.
