I am selling my 2018 Trek Fuel EX 9.9 after a few great years of riding it. My only reason for selling is because I bought a Supercaliber and found that I prefer that bike for the XC trails I ride here in Northeast Wisconsin. I always reach for the Supercaliber over the Fuel, so its time to sell it. Mechanically, this bike performs flawlessly. It has exactly 1,171 miles on it (taken from my Strava stats). Both the fork and shock were serviced this summer. The bike only has been ridden twice since servicing. The bike almost 100% stock except for the green Deity grips and I changed the original 2018 125mm Bontrager Line dropper to a 2019 140mm Bontrager Line Dropper. The new dropper is actually a 150mm dropper, but I added a 10mm spacer to fit my height since you can't put the post any further down due to the bend in the seat tube. You or your LBS can take the spacer out to increase the travel to 150mm if your legs are long enough (I'm 5'9"). The other addition are the green Trek decals. These are just vinyl stickers over the original gray paint. They can easily be taken off. If you prefer not to keep them, I can take them off before shipping, or you can do it yourself at any time.

This is 2018 model that was built with full Sram XX1 drivetrain, carbon everything, and the awesome 108t rapid drive hub. (In 2019 Trek changed the 9.9 build to X01 components and heavier cassette, crank, and the 54t hub and a 2 pound weight gain) The overall weight of this bike as it currently sits is 26 lbs 2 oz (without pedals) which is incredibly light for a trail bike with 130mm of travel! It climbs way better than it should and rips the descents like a boss.

The bike does have some scratches on it from normal trail riding. No major scrapes or gouges. The most prominent ones I took pictures of; most notably on the fork crown from cable rub. It happened when I first bought the bike and didn't realize for the a month. I quickly repositioned the front brake hose away from the fork, but not before the wear spot had developed.

The tires are the original XR4's that came with the bike. The rear tire is showing its age, but still has plenty of life left in it. The front tire is great.
