2020 YT Decoy battery cover

This is a 3D-printed "dummy battery" used to cover the battery cavity in your YT decoy e-mtb. This was designed and printed by my 15 yr old son to make transporting the YT Decoy on my hitch rack easier and safer. Replacing the stock battery with this item reduces the weight of the YT Decoy by about 9 pounds making it much easier to transport. Once installed, the bike is easier to lift and load onto a truck or bike rack for transport. Since many bike racks have a weight limit, this also reduces the amount of stress on any rack after you have one in place.

Using this item and riding the Decoy as a normal bike without the original stock battery is not recommended. Upon checking with YT, they stated the bike would be structurally sound but you may encounter problems with the inner cables rattling loose. They said that using these for transport is a great idea.
