I have for Sale my 2015 (sort of) RSD mayor. Let me explain. This bike was purchased new in 2015 for $2700. Earlier this winter the frame broke and the good folks at RSD gave me a new frame so it only has a few rides on it. I have a bad habit of continually upgrading my bikes so there are not a lot of original parts left. The key components are:
• Avid Elixir CR brakes - these are a major upgrade from the mechanical disks it came with. These were Avid's top of the line XC/Trail brakes before SRAM acquired them. Carbon levers and titanium bits. You will appreciate great brakes. Also the carbon levers feel a bit warmer on cold days than metal.
• SRAM X0 11 speed derailleur. 10-42 cassette, and X1 shifter. I changed out the drivetrain (chain, cassette and derailleur) before the start of last winter. Shifts are smooth and quick.
• Surly Bud front tire and Maxxis DHR rear. Both 4.8” width to provide fantastic float in loose snow conditions. The Bud is a front specific tire and provides the best cornering traction of any tire out there. The DHR has great propulsion grip. A fantastic combo for Edmonton singletrack!
• Rockshox Bluto fork – 80mm. Seals replaced last year. More than enough smooth travel for Edmonton winter trails. Even though the almost 5” tires absorb most of the little bumps it’s nice to have that extra bit of cush.
• Wheelset is original – FatLab hubs, front and rear. Front is 150mm spacing 15mm thru axle, rear is 190mm QR. 80mm rims.
• Absolute Black 28T oval chainring, RaceFace Turbine Crankset – if you hate the idea of oval I still have the 30 or 32 tooth chainring it came with I can throw in.
• Easton seatpost and handlebar.
• New bottom bracket – just replaced in Dec.

This bike has always been stored in a heated garage and maintained meticulously. It’ll be sad to see this bike go as it got my hooked on winter cycling. Hopefully it can go to a good home to bring joy to another fellow cyclist. My reason for selling is that I just got a new Fatty.

I'm 5'11" and this medium fit me very well. I suspect this would fit most folks between around 5'6" and 6'.

btw the pogies shown in the photo’s are not included. I’m using them on my new bike.

RSD = Rubber Side Down (words to live by!) RSD is based in Toronto and the Mayor is an homage to the late Rob Ford, the former Mayor of Toronto well known as being fat and liking the white stuff.
