I have a Terrene Cake Eater 29 x 2.8 studded tire and a 27.5 x 2.8 studded tire with a couple of rides on ea tire. I bought these to run on my wife’s and my bike when we run the plus rims on our Fatbikes. I ran the tire on the front rim only as that is where the additional traction is needed in icy condition.
This time of year, if you are running a plus bike or a skinny, the added traction of a studded tire is a bonus.
27.5 tire is 120TPI and 29 Tire is 60TPI, ultra light casing and tubeless ready. These tires retail for $200 plus tax...if you can get them.
$150 for ea tire.
