2018 (Price Drop) Zerode Taniwha 445, 12 speed gearbox

Up for sale is this mechanically excellent custom 2018 Zerode Taniwha enduro bike This is an incredible bike that has the best shifting and suspension platform on the market! Highlight is the Pinion C-Line 12 speed gearbox, which has a wider range than any 1x12 derailleur system (600% range) and eliminates the cassette and derailleur. This moves the weight off of the rear wheel and positions it near the bottom bracket, delivering the traction and awesome rear suspension performance that gearboxes are known for. The gearbox itself is bombproof and will outlast almost any complete bike, never needing maintenance or fine-tuning yet still delivering perfect shifts every time. You'll never want to go back to a derailleur system again! The bike itself has been ridden a lot and has its fair share of cosmetic damage, but nothing structural. I work Cycle Monkey which is a dealer for Zerode, and this bike spent a couple years as a demo before I bought it. It was always maintained by certified gearbox mechanics. Only selling to get a 29er. Open to reasonable offers, bike is currently located in Santa Cruz but split my time between there and the Bay Area so I could meet anywhere nearby, or ship at buyers expense.

Frame: Zerode Taniwha 445 reach, which is like a medium (there is a decent scratch down the logo on the right downtube, somewhat large but it's 100% cosmetic and has been verified professionally. Covered in clear frame tape)

Shock: Rockshox Monarch Plus RC3 air shock (not the cane creek coil pictured)

Fork: Cane Creek Helm, 160mm travel and can be raised to 170 or lowered to 140 in 10mm increments (fully serviced/rebuilt by Cane Creek a year ago, just received a lower leg service and oil change. Has some cosmetic scratches on lowers (mostly on stickers), but stanchions are perfect) New crown race

Drivetrain: Pinion C-line gearbox 12 speed (new chain, chainrings, replaced tensioner)

Shifter: Pinion grip-shift, you can switch through all gears instantly and without pedaling. Takes a few rides to get used to but it's a game changer. Just replaced cables

Brakes: Magura MT trail, fresh bleed and new front lever assembly

Rear wheel: WTB KOM Tough i29, cush core tire insert installed

Front wheel: WTB KOM Light

New tires

Dropper post: 9point8 Fall Line 170mm (has a slow leak but works fine if you occasionally add pressure) Wolf Tooth remote

Bars: Syntace Vector 800mm

Stem: Chromag HiFi 50mm (also have 30mm syntace stem I can put on)

Headset: Cane Creek 40
