Transition Sentinel enduro/trail bike in size Large. 29” wheels. 160mm travel front and rear. My dream bike, but I have come to the realization that I am tamer than this bike deserves. I purchased this frame new, directly from Transition 5/31/2023 (one year ago). Accordingly, it only has 488 miles of riding on it. I purchased this even after the V2 Sentinel came out as I can’t say enough about this color (Pinot Noir matte) and the lines of the frame. The bike started as an aluminum frame, and I then purchased the carbon front triangle to shed a couple of pounds. The bike was built from the frame up with the best parts (see descriptions below) and includes a ton of extras including a back-up shock, Cascade Components rocker, fork service items, etc. Transition has a height range for a size large from 5’9” to 6’3” depending on how you like your bike to feel. 475mm reach, 77 degree seat angle, 65 degree head angle.

Frame – 2019 Transition Sentinel. 488 total miles. Carbon front triangle with aluminum rear triangle and rocker. Size Large. The frame is designed for a 205mm x 57.5mm shock for 140mm travel, but I have over-shocked it with a 216mm x 63mm shock to give it 160mm of travel front and rear. Includes oil-slick Better Bolts titanium bolt kit for the frame. Also have several replacement parts for the frame including cable port seals, some pivot hardware, and spacers.

Frame extra 1 – Cascade Components rocker link which changes progressivity of the rear shock from 7% to 20%. Black with Better Bolts oil-slick bolts.

Frame extra 2 – New in the box matching carbon chainstays. I chose to keep the rear end all aluminum, but you can install these chainstays if you want to shed a little more weight. Note that these will NOT work with the current long shock set-up, but if you want to install the standard 205mm x 57.5mm shock these will work. Includes mounting bolts/hardware and bearings.

Fork – Fox Factory Float 36 with Grip 2 damper. 160mm travel. Independently adjustable high and low speed compression and high and low speed rebound. Lower leg service just performed. Includes MRP Ramp Control cartridge so that you can adjust the air stroke feel on the fly without having to open the fork up to add/remove air volume spacers. This fork has ALL the adjustments. I switched out the lowers for Marzocchi Z1 as the “M” arch is way better looking. Also includes orange Kabolt through axle. I will throw in new in the box SKF seals, and Fox 5wt teflon infused oil for the damper/damper side lowers (half bottle).

Shock – Fox Factory Float DPX2 216mm x 63mm. Three position switch with micro-compression adjustment and rebound adjustment. Currently have the largest air volume spacer for this shock installed (0.6) and I am also including the original smaller spacer (0.2). Also including a RockShox Monarch Plus with the same dimensions and features if you are more of a RockShox person.

Wheels –Stan’s Flow MK4 rims (newest version with offset drilling) hand laced to DT Swiss 350 hubs (36t ratchet) with DT Swiss double butted Competition spokes and black brass nipples. Perfectly true, bombproof wheelset set-up tubeless. Boost frame/wheel spacing 148mm X 12mm rear and 110mm X 15m front.

Tires – Brand new Maxxis rubber front and rear tubeless with fresh Stan’s sealant. Front is Maxxis Assegai 29 X 2.5WT, EXO+ casing, 3C maxxgrip compound. Rear is Maxxis High Roller II 29 X 2.5WT, Double Down casing, 3C max terra compound.

Brakes – Shimano BR-M8120 XT four piston brakes with Shimano XT RT86 Ice-Tech 180mm rear and 203mm front rotors (not the cheaper RT76 rotors).

Drivetrain – Mix of Sram Eagle 12 speed GX and X01 for durability where it counts and weight/features where you can get away with it. DUB bottom bracket, GX aluminum crankset and GX rear derailleur. Sram Eagle X01 shifter and Eagle X01 chain in black. Sram X01 XG-1295 cassette 10t-52t.

Seatpost – OneUp dropper with 210mm travel. Fox lever.

Seat – WTB Volt

Stem – RaceFace Turbine 50mm length stem, 35mm diameter

Handlebars – RaceFace Atlas aluminum handlebars in un-cut 820mm width. 35mm diameter and 20mm rise.

Grips – Production Privee grips with offset so that you can change the grip angle +/- 1 degree in any direction. I had these sent from oversees and they are not cheap…

Headset – Cane Creek 40 series.

Pedals – Not included. I’m keeping these on for test riding only.
