Well, I just completed this build, did a few runs and realized that a long-travel hardtail is not right for me or for the terrain I typically ride. So, it's for sale. Currently set up as a 1x9, but you could put on a front der. and shifter if you choose.
Completely custom ground-up build with three total trail rides on most of the parts. Here are the specs:
Frame: '10 Ragley Blue Pig steel hardtail, 18-inch, three total rides, just purchased in Dec. from CRC in the UK. I'm 6'2" and at the upper reach of sizing on this frame.
Fork: '10 Marzocchi 55 RC3 Ti. 160mm travel, ti coil with air preload. 20mm thru, stickers removed. Perfect fork for this frame, IMO. If you prefer, I'll sub a new-old-stock '08 Manitou Minute Elite 140 IT (adjustable travel with remote and fresh rebuild).
Headset: Cane Creek S3 with Hope spacers
Stem: Thomson X4, 70mm
Bars: Deity Dirty 30 uncut
Grips: ODI lockon
Shifter: Sram X9
Brakes: Avid Elixir R 185/185
Front wheel: DT Swiss E440 rim with Spec. branded Shimano 20mm hub, DTS tubeless strip, Maxxis Minion 3C Exo tire run tubeless
Rear wheel: Custom Speed Dream built Flow rim with White Industries M16 hub, yellow tape, Maxxis Ignitor LUST casing, run tubeless.
Cassette: Shimano 12-36.
Chain: Shimano HG
Crankset: Truvativ Hussefelt 170mm with single 32-tooth ring, Howitzer BB, BBG bashguard and E13 Freechucker chainguide
Pedals: Used Deity Decoy flats with full-price offer
Seat: WTB Silverado or Chromag Lynx
Clamp: Hope
Seapost: Kind Shock i700 adjustable with handlebar remote
Rear Der: Sram X9
The only item older than three rides is the wheelset. They're perfectly true, but show typical scratching from desert use. Can sub in a brand-new (2 rides) set of Transition Revolution 32s (already set up tubeless with the same Maxxis tires as above) if buyer prefers.
Preference given to Phoenix local buyers or pickup, but will ship to CONUS at buyer's expense.
Willing to trade (plus cash from my end if necessary) for a longer-travel freeride or downhill bike. Please, no AM or trail bikes as I already have a perfectly dialed Titus El Guapo.
