Truck was taken off the road after sitting for 6 months. MAS was replaced shortly after with one from a 92 V6 (same part number, verified with Granville Toyota). Didn't run correctly after, was told the head gasket may be going. Tore apart the front end, checked timing belt (fine) and there was no visual indications of the head gasket going. Put it all back together, checked the timing, perfect. After spending a large amount of money at many local shops in Chilliwack I decided to stop spending money on a issue that no one could solve, or even identify for me.
MAS did fix issue with it not running, has run with no issues for 9 months now.
1991 is one of the best years of Toyota pickups, Extended cab is awesome for the space side of things, and the v6 adds a hint of power where its needed. Great truck, has never disappointed me.
Why I'm getting rid of it
I bought this truck originally expecting my work to require the use of it and a raise would be in order. Neither of which happened, so I have basically hung onto it till now. I want to get into something a fair bit smaller and cheaper on gas. I have been talking about getting rid of it for a while and have started to take steps on the direction.
