I have been going to this shop for 10 years. I ride and race on the mountain frequently. They have always gone out of their way to help me, my wife and my son out. I've taken my bike in for a small thing and Derek basically went through the entire bike from top to bottom making sure it was in perfect working order. Not only that but he's helped my son by fitting him into a way better position on the bike. This is a great shop and loaded with experienced riders that know whats up. I've watched them take excellent care of a lot of novice and young riders alike. I've rented bikes from them several times and they have always worked as expected and were lots of fun. This place rocks!

I had a pretty bad experience here. Upon busting my front chainring on the first run of the day at big bear, I was desperate to find a replacement. None of the local shops had the appropriate size in stock. Bear was my last stop, so when they didn't have what I needed I asked if they had a throwaway (used) crappy chainring to get me through the day? The owner pipes in "why would you want a crap part when you can just buy the right one?" I explained that he didn't have a 36t for sale and I just needed something for the day, the cheaper the better because it would get thrown out as soon as i ordered one in. The tech finds one, I ask to borrow a couple tools to facilitate my repair in the parking lot. The owner throws them on the counter and shoes me off. He gave me the wrong tool, so i politely ask for the correct one and he says, " here get it done, if your not going to spend any money, get the hell out of here." I returned his tools on the spot put $5 down for the used chainring and left.
