VICTORY HILL IS NOT PART OF THE KINGDOM TRAILS NETWORK.
Our trail club uses private trails in Victory, Vermont which are usually open to the public for hiking, skiing and biking (in season). This network is part of the Vermont Trail System, our state’s official recreational trail network.
The trail network is derived from a network of logging trails. They are not regularly maintained but many volunteers contribute to keeping them clear and running.
A jurisdictional opinion issued by Vermont’s Natural Resource Board in 2019, claims that this trail network needs to undergo Act 250 a rigorous development review process required for commercial developers. The threat of Act 250 continues to jeopardize the future public use of these trails which are open to the public. If Act 250 is placed on the network, our club and the private landowner will no longer offer the trails to the public. For the time being, public use is allowed in season. Biking usually opens in June and end before rifle season.
OUR CLUB RECOMMENDS THAT BIKERS DRIVE TO VICTORY HILL VIA GALLUP MILLS OR ROUTE 2 TO AVOID DISTURBING OUR NEIGHBORS ON THE CLASS IV KIRBY MOUNTAIN ROAD.
Ride, walk, run or ski the club trails at your own risk. It is your responsibility to be aware of hazards in the trail. Trails are not regularly maintained.
Trail use is prohibited for 24 hours after any significant rain. Call (802) 695-3355 or check our Victory Hill Sector Facebook page for updates on rain closures.
All bikers must sign a waiver and check-in at 2428 Victory Hill Rd. , each time they visit
