I am planning a long road trip on a bike. I went to the shop today with the hopes of getting some advice as well as buying over $2,000 (15,000Q) worth of gear including a new bike. When I told this to the salesman he basically pointed at one of the bikes and said that is the biggest bike we have and walked away. I stood around for 10 minutes well he chitchatted with another employee behind the counter. I kept thinking he was going to come back. He didn't. I finally just walked out of the store frustrated and disappointed. I will just have a friend take me to Guatemala City and buy what I need there. It is obvious they don't want or need my business. If you are looking to buy a bike or camping gear from people that care then I would recommend that you go almost any other place.
