Hey,looking at buying a 2020 Dartmoor frame. Unfortunately I sit in between a large and medium frame. I’m 178cm tall with a 77cm inseam. The last bike I bought online was a bit to big for me, so hoping to get it right this time lol. Would the large be to big for me? I’m going to be running it with. 140 mm travel fork so I’m think with a 45 mm stem he medium would probably work?

Go with medium. The hornet is long as can be so you're fine to go smaller.

I'm a bit smaller than you and I was between small and medium and medium sits a bit bigger (with dropper). I probably would have done well with small.

Worst case you get. 40mm stem-50mm if you need a bit more reach.

Awsome, thanks Smile . And it's a thru-axle? Would you know much about converting a qr to TA on a shimano standard freewheel body?

Mate you have to get a new wheel.
It's boost.

My current hub is a boosted hub, or can you not convert them if they are boosted? Just trying to dodge buying a new rear wheel, I have 2 month old one but it’s qr :/

Those Are difficult to covert. You'll probably need a new hub.

Hi guys,

just building up a 2020 Dartmoor Primal as a bit of a summer project and got a couple of questions:

Anyone know where you can get a spare rear mech hanger for less £££ than I'm seeing everywhere? I'm after the new chunky one rather than the fish-hook style:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/derailleur-Hanger-Dartmoor-Blackbird-Bluebird/dp/B07N87NZLM

Also, what's the little tapped hole in the headtube for/about? anyone know if you can get a grommet or recommend something to block it up?

Here's my bike so far:

Cheers!

Black is always legit. Also love how the graphics on the fork and the frame mate up, especially on the downtube.

Looks good dude - I'm building a green one soon in a couple of weeks. The threaded hole at the headtube is for a double cable holder and the frame should come with this. See this page of the forum: https://www.pinkbike.com/forum/listcomments/?threadid=100473&pagenum=286

Thanks! Yeah thought that was the case, but the way I've done my cables it wouldn't route that way so hopefully I can find something to block it up - really bugging me haha!

Was happy when I saw the frame pop up on ebay for £200 new - couldn't really believe it - they're really nice bikes and well thought out. Good luck with the build!
