You are best to try the mullet with the primal 27.5 frame as opposed to 29. The reason is the bb will be in an awkward position. When using a 27.5 wheel on the 29 frame

I'll probably end up going full 29" i guess.

What is your thought on 160mm on the Primal 29 ?

The new model accepts 160mm and the old model shouldn't be too bad for it. I would however suggest running it with a bit of sag to compensate for the extra travel.

Just refinished my 2021 Hornet. Added a couple extra goodies, was swapping over to a Primal but the bottom bracket was cross threaded Cry

So I finished this one.

Hi

New to group. I came across the hornet pro for €2250 and was wondering if anyone had any experience of these? I love the look (tough!), but can't find any reviews
https://dartmoor-bikes.com/hardware/freeride/hornet-pro

My current hardtail is a nukeproof scout with suntour aion 140mm fork. Bike works great, but who couldn't use another hardtail?

Thanks

I'm a bit confused where you are seeing that available. They haven't produced the complete bikes yet.

This frame is new for this year so no one currently will have tried it yet.

Probably on one of the euro online stores.

Yes it just seems odd they would be listing them far before they are available.

That's right, they're only available for preorder, delivery early May. Not sure how realistic that is. Anyway, just wondered what your thoughts were on the bike

The original hornet frame is a hit. I'm not sure how this one will land given it's a new design entirely. It's a bit bulkier in terms of frame design and such.

May is definitely not realistic in my mind.

I'm looking at purchasing a used Primal 29 2021 frameset, would like to know what's the max tire clearance? Could I fit a 29x2.6 or a 27x2.8 tire? Thanks

Neither.

29. * 2.4 max.

27.5 to 2.8 solution unfortunately won't work since the stays are too close.

Couple more questions: what derailleur hanger does the Dartmoor Primal 29 2021 come with? Is it SRAM UDH? and what pitch are the threads on the thru axle? Thanks

2021 uses the old style hanger. I'm not sure what the pitch is exactly but the frame comes with the axle.

Yes, it came with the axle but need to get one for the chariot hitch to pull my kid.
