2016 Hornet raw build!

I just picked up a Hornet 2019 frame. Can someone point me in the direction of a correct fitting headset? I know its IS42/IS52, but are there any specific headsets someone can suggest?

The Dartmoor Blink works well for it. Any headset that's that standard will work fine.

We have some coming in stock in the next week or so.

Managed to find a First Components headset to use for now.

Are there any other hangers that fit the 2019 Hornet frame? Sram UDH?

No SRAM UDH only works for the new frames (the pro). You have to get the standard Dartmoor hangers for your model. We have them in stock if you need some quickly!

hello, I wanted to ask, I bought a dartmoor primal 29 2022 frame, and I want to put maxxis hookworm 2.5 tires, will they fit?

The hookworm might, only because it's not knobby, but if it does fit, it will be VERY tight.

If you're buying the tires, I would say make sure you can return them if they don't fit because it's basically 50/50

I also wanted to ask, has anyone put a fork on a Dartmoor Primal, RockShox Domain with a stroke of 160 mm, how does it get along with this frame?

Anyone rode Dartmoor Thunder Expert wheels, would appreciate any feedback

Currently riding a 2016 Hornet on 26" with a 170mm Lyrik. Been thinking of going up to 27.5 since the frame is designed to fit them and I'm curious to try (slightly) bigger wheels - plus it's getting harder to find good 26" tyres now. What width fits the Hornet comfortably with enough mud clearance?

Also since I'd be buying new forks anyway was wondering if anyone has tried it as a mullet (27.5/29) with a shorter travel fork, maybe 150?

Hi all,

I have a 2016 Hornet frame which I want to build up into a pump track bike. Most Dirt Jump forks are 100mm which if fitted to the Hornet will probably make the head angle very steep. Has anyone fitted a short travel fork & used an angle adjust headset to slacken the bike?

Steeper is what you want for pump track etc though isn't it? It might make the BB too low though.

I've ended up getting a FS frame now so if I can't get my Hornet sold I might build it back up as a pump track bike too Smile
