Chain tensioner for dual-ring?

I have a 2008 Ellsworth Moment that's built for AM/XC riding, about 30lbs but am taking it to Whistler later this month. On downhill runs the chain slaps around something fierce, due to the slop in the chain needed for the dual ring (Shimano SLX with bash guard) and the rear derailleur moving around. Is there a way to attach some kind of chain tensioner that will still allow me to shift chainrings? I don't have that ISCG bolt pattern either.

I would try the blackspire. I bent up my Gamut one on day 2 when I slipped off of a log. Which is too bad because it worked great, but it was too beautiful to last, with the blackspire being solid, I would put a little more faith in it.
