So in one's search for the ultimate frame for everything that I like to ride. Over the last few years I've been working on this, and now feel that I've got what i want dialed to the tee.
The current frame geo is: 580mm top tube 435mm chain stay 530mm actual top tube 13.7" bb height 347.98mm 730mm stand over height 400mm seat tube height 1125mm wheelbase HA is about 66
Now this is great for downhill, and general thrash biking however it's screwed by a bad linkage, crap welding and a few other minor issues. And I can't put the seat up, the seat tower is too bloody small.
My question goes to anyone out there if they know of bikes with the following: 595mm top tube 435mm stays 13.4" BB 340mm 750mm stand over max 410 mm seat tube height 1140mm wheelbase 65-67 HA travel 140-180mm adjustable fork 140- 180mm ISCG 05 MUST 1.5" head tube target weight frame 3-4.5kg Able to put seat up for XC/ down for DH. no DW link or vpp or maestro, i likely lively bikes, these feel dead to me.
The Youth industries Noton gets close but has a stupidly high BB and no adjustablity.
The new Alutech enduro also looks very promising, others have been the MDE boulder S or the Alutech poodle.
Im not fussed on the rear axle spacing or the BB sizing, but want to run Hammerschmidt on it.
I'm after something more european than anything else, I'm fond of the industrial look aswell.
Would also love to find a smaller companys cromo edition, or raw alloy that isn't overly hydroformed.
