Is this carbon bike cruelty free? I need a bike that's gender neutral to not offend those in my coffee ride group..

Wow, and I thought I'd get some sensible comments! Oh well...

Says the guy that hates on one of the best frames around to be 'indie'

So wanting a frame that every other person rides is 'Indie' now? Who knew? and I also like to pay for the frame not the name! but that's my opinion.

Please show me where I 'hate' on anything?

If you want to pay for a frame instead of a name, you'd be hard pressed to do better than Giant. As big as they are in the industry they don't get a lot of street cred and yet they make amazing bikes.

To be honest, it kind of sounds like you want to pay for a niche bike so you can be hipster sheik about having a bike no one has ever heard of.

Look Monkey Man, I don't think anyone here has any experience with those frames or manufacturers. We aren't going to be much help. That said, if they're reputable, I'm sure they are contracted out to the same Tiawanese factories that make everything else, and they will ride fine. I say buy what you want, provided the price isn't too outrageous.

If you can get a chance though, try and ride one of these bikes back to back with the status quo. That's probably the only way you'll get a real, unbiased idea.

That said, it's pretty hard to beat an industrial behemoth like Giant in terms of performance/value.

I live in Thailand, Giant are very popular here, they really are every other bike! and I'm not saying they aren't 'good' I'm just saying I don't want one! and I really don't care about 'street cred' I'm not bothered about 'hipster' (what ever that means) or having a 'niche' bike, but if by 'niche' you mean different then yea why not? isn't that what this thread is kind of about?

Couple of things,

1) Some people may have heard of them, and if not great now you have check them out, this is how companies get a foot hold in the industry. And I think they could be considered ‘sexy’.
2) Price wise, they are cheaper than the big companies, and you can have a custom paint. And I like the small nature of the company, I know where they are made and how, and the guy’s that owns the companies (well Tozz anyway).
3) Have a Trek with 105 at the moment and its great, I have ridden the Tozz and it felt good too, I'm not a pro or even a racer, and to me they feel good. I'm a mountain biker really but getting in to road so I'm still a little 'behind' let’s say and I want to build a great bike.
4) Giant here in Thailand, are still cheaper than in UK, (where I'm originally from) but like I said to 'Badbadleroybrown', they are super popular, not a bad thing as they are very good road-bikes and the Propel is still a possibility, but they are just everywhere them and Specialized, everyone has them. I just want something else and I assumed that a forum like this, 'sexiest Road Bikes' would be good for opinions purely based on looks.

That being said, can we start again? I think we got off on the wrong foot. I'm looking for a new frame, these are the bikes I like the look of, looks wise what do you think?
