EDIT: NVM

I personally dont think you can overbuy a PSU aside from buying a HCP for an intel atom server Wink , but if youre an Ocer try to find one with the least amount of ripple possible.

So, my buddy gave me his old antec 900. He modded it a little, but it was mostly a hack job. I decided it would make a nice O/C'ing case, so I cleaned it up and slapped a coat of paint on it. That of course prompted more spending...

CM sickleflow fans? i have those. too noisy for my liking.

They are a little loud, but I have them hooked up to a fan controller so I can dial them down when I don't need it. They move way more air than the Fractal Design ones I was using though.

S5520HC with dual Xeons bare metal ESXi from a USB thumb drive.

Five VMs:

WHS (2003)
WHS Vail
Untangle as my firewall/AV/AS/bridge
SBS 2008 as DC/DNS/DHCP server
FreeNAS/Ubuntu server 10.10

All to decent sata drives, just a hair over 6TB in storage. All gigabit network with a wifi N wap. An arduino with ssh server for basic automation, a project that gets moved around the house.

Also a few Win7 boxes, one media center strapped to the back of our TV and some linux boxes as our daily drivers. An Unntangle dual GB NIC box as our rock solid gateway and hardware VPN.

Other than that a few NASs running as offsite backup for family members

Hey, didn't know that PB had tech threads! I'm running this for DCC mostly right now:

-Intel i7 960 (still at 3.2GHz, I'm a little afraid to OC it myself), idles at about 30C stock heatsink, 60C 100%
-12GB Triple-Channel DDR3 RAM (6x2GB) from OCZ
-Asus P6X58D Premium Mobo
-125GB Crucial M225 SSD
-2 1TB Hitachi 7.2k SATAII HDDs in RAID 0
-160GB Hitachi 7.2k SATAII HDD
-BD burner/DVD/CD
-DVD/CD burner
-All-in-one internal (5.25") media card reader (via internal USB 9-pin)
-1000W PSU
-Thermaltake Element G chassis

and a nVidia Quadro FX1800 which I'm selling if anyone's interested.
