Yeah, I'm tempted as well. Nicksand5 is right, the ride is just better.

I'm very happy with it. It rides the way I hoped it would and it looks great.
Is it worth of the sexy thread?

A guy in Austria is producing these himself. €26 a pop with hardware and shipping to Germany. Pretty reasonable.

Do PP do horizontal dropouts for single speed? Then you could lose the tensioner.

If not you can always change the rear cog size so it works with the chain and chainstay length. Or get a half link chain which should get you close.

Thanks, but this is as close as it gets. If the chain was new, it would not need a tensioner.
Using horizontal drop outs will mess with the brake. And I'm not interested in that.

I built a lot of singlespeed bikes and despite using a White ENO eccentric hub with rim brakes or having an adjustable disc brake mount, this is my favourite setup.

I like the contrast as well, but I'm planning on replacing that wheelset with something wider, lighter and more silent...

Congratulations pyro, you built yourself a very nice bike. Would look better without the rims decals , but I think you already know that Smile
