Have you ever seen a rusty raw finished Curtis?

Is that a porn reference?

I don't think i've seen a Curtis in the flesh. How do they do raw that doesn't rust?

Clear powder coat, so in essence, it's sealed in a clear plastic skin.

But they also rust...all bikes do, but under a clearcoat you can see it. My clearcoated HT is now 2.5 years old and as my daily driver (even used it with zwift, drenched in sweat) has some rusty patches but overall it's not too bad.

I have a feeling they use some kind of vacuum process.

Youre going to love it: congrats. One of the most straight forward, no gimmicks, badboy hardtail you can get for the money. I had a 45650b that I loved, but broke the frame above the disc break mount, and after a long debate between the BFE and a Stanton Swithcback, my wife got me the BFE as a gift. Im running a 150mm Pike and the bike is a ripper. Have fun and post pics!

Got my bfe frame yesterday. Not allowed to built it yet as it's a birthday present. Few weeks to go. Can't wait.

Fair play to that man! That took some real effort, very impressive!
Even more so baring in mind that the Scout is the harshest HT frame known to man!
I bet his teeth are still rattling in his head now! lol

I really don't know why people bother with this sort of thing. Being surrounded by other riders all either holding you up, taking your line, or causing crashes doesn't sound like fun at all. The complete opposite of why i ride my bike in fact. I'd like to ride the race route though, apart from the first few miles of snow it looks epic.
