Think I'm done now, really happy with it.

Now rocking 29f and 27.5r, really just to see.

At a rough measure it's -5mm off the bottom bracket 325 from 330, wheelbase is also -5mm from 1300 to 1295 and reach from 500 to 495, but TTL has grown from 640 to 645.

As for angles my phone app is still coming up the same as before I measure, is I don't know what wrong there.

Super Nice..tup

What have I gotten myself into

I've decided that any more than 1 speed is boring Big Grin

Let's see how much will I regret my decision.

30x17 if someone is wondering.

Just do it till it gets dark, always feels refreshing at first. Thats a big gear for a 29er for mountain riding, not sure what your local terrain is.

I rode a lot with 30x18 in the last month to try out how much I can stand, and felt OK. There are going to be some hard climbs but this is cool.

Running a 36x16 on my Explosif, It's 27.5 but It's a high gear for sure, but it is also my commuter. Hoping it will eventually just make me a beast of a rider. Still waiting on that to happen though lol

O+

I'm running a 32t oval (so 34 equivalent at the largest part) x 20. It's pretty hilly and slippery here so I'm definitely thinking about a 21 or 22T. Right now the gear is ok for a couple hours, I'm expecting to get a bit stronger again, and as the trails dry out it'll get easier again.

Makes you a better stronger rider, forces you to carry momentum, seems to me that after I went back to gears after over a decade on only ss I slowly lost the benefits I gained on the ss set up.

Damn. 36x16 just makes my knees hurt thinking about it. I've been pretty happy with 30x18 here in the Colorado mountains. 30x21 definitely made climbing easier, but it was a little too painfully slow on some stuff and I found myself spinning more than I wanted.

32/20 is my 29SS go to but you gotta go with what works for you. Enjoy, it's fun and really good for your riding and strength.

Locally I used to fun 45x16 fixed gear, so I gotten used to it.

I there on some faster rolling tires, It's lighter now for a kilo and some, and at some point I'm probably gonna upgrade to a higher engagement in the hub
