10mm less fork travel alone won't give you 12mm less BB height.

The sharper turning comes from the rear wheel turning on a tighter arc, due to its smaller diameter. Definitely a pretty neat concept.

Yeah 10mm was over all, from putting the 27.5 out back was roughly 4-5mm, then another 4-5ishmm from lowering the fork.

Sorry didn't explain it that wellSmile

So I am running a 150mm 29in Fork with my mullet build. I love it so far. Chromag recommends 150-170 with 27.5 for the stylus.

Maybe the wrong thread but im headed to south lake tahoe and Downieville for 2 weeks. Kingdom HT or ‘19 stumpy pro? I cant bring em both, crisis mode. Also any recommendations? Trails or food or whatever. Also game for scrambling hikes. Thanks

Stumpy pro for Downieville for sure.. Can be done on a HT, but you're going to be wishing for your SJ the whole time..

Check out South Lake Brewing Company, Himmel Haus, and go to The Beacon and have a Rum Runner. Bert’s Cafe is pretty good too.

Pig Surge
Pig Surge

Finally, after about 2 years, I've got the Surge built back up. Really excited to get back on it, think it will really help my riding. Going to be so weird feeling because I've been riding my Stumpy this whole time, not sure if I will miss the squish or not. Gonna get out for a ride on it in a little bit.

I just tore down and sold a Niner ROS9 to build this up:

2017 Medium/Large Chromag Surface - British Racing Green
DVO Beryl 150mm
Raceface Next SL cranks
DMR V12 Magnesium Pedals
KS Lev Dropper w/ Wolftooth Lever
Raceface Turbine R Stem
Raceface Next R Handlebar 35mm clamp/800mm width
Sram GX Eagle Drivetrain
Sram Guide RSC Brakes
180 Rotors - Front & Rear
Stan’s Flow MK3 Rims w/ DT Swiss 350 Hubs
Maxxis Aggressor 29x2.3 tires
30.1 lbs as currently built

Need to dial in steerer tube height and pick up some new crank arm protective film.
